Anyone Having A Easier Time Getting Deals On Coins?

schockergd Valued Member United States 397 Posts	Posted 07/02/2011 05:15 am I can't say that I've been a collector that long, but over the past 6 months it seems to be getting easier and easier to find quality coins at a discount as compared to 2-4 months ago. Last week I bought a bag of Kennedy halves at enough of a discount that I was able to sell part and keep nearly 50 halves for free. Today I'll be picking up a few 1886-O morgans in BU condition for $90 each. Report this Post to the Staff

I go to about 2 to 4 coin shows a Month, lots of flea markets, garage/yard/estate sales and look for mostly coins. Prices fluctuate so massively at times, it makes it tuff trying to come up with a decent pricing on coins. From almot face value at a flea market to overpriced coins at some coin shops. schockergd Valued Member United States 397 Posts	Posted 07/04/2011 09:06 am Morgans didn't work out as I had hoped , did well overall though for the day as a whole. The guy knew a good deal about coins in general, however via email he thought that one morgan was MS , and the other AU (Both 1886-o). I got there and one was at best AU50 with a little luster, the other was XF40 at best, and he wanted $100/ea. I couldn't justify buying it considering when I normally buy coins at that price I get a better discount. Report this Post to the Staff
