They are Greek gold coins. The second one is from the rein of ALEXANDER III (the Great) (c. 315-294 BC.

Obverse: Head of Herakles facing right, wearing lion skin.

Reverse: Zeus seated left, holding eagle and sceptre; (lambda) in left field, monogram beneath seat.

Not sure the period of the first one.

Hello and welcome.

I moved your thread to the ID Required section of the forum for you.

The bottom coin is silver, not gold. I assume the lighting has made it turn that colour. I'm afraid we'd need to see much bigger pics before we could ID it for sure.

The top one is gold, but it's not Greek. The style is Indian, but I'm not familiar with the design. Can we have an indication of how big these coins are?

Hello and thank you for your reply to my post.

The coins are 8grams each. Yes the other coin is silver, I have identified that one as being Greek, Alexander The

Great. The Gold coin I have yet to identify. I can try and post a larger pic if it would help.
