This coin or token which I am almost sure is made out of gold (did tests and things). The writing is the style you could find on an 18th century or older gold Indian or Afghanistan gold mohur. The image is the same on both sides so don't ask for the other side.Thanks.

Hi Welcome to the forum,

Can you give the diameter and weight?

It doesn't look like any coin I've ever seen and it doesn't look like gold either so I think it's some sort of token. The fact that both sides are the same is another strong indicator

It is 2,1 centimeters in diameter, I cannot give an exact weight though I can say it is very thin (thickness of about 1 millimeter)

With the strange rim and identical design on both sides, and assuming it really is gold, my best guess would be a "jewellery replica", designed to be inserted into a pendant or something similar.

I don't think it was made for jewelry because the circle that holds the writing is not centered as you can see and the rim has an excess on its side. The photo is not at an angle of the coin it is centered on it. Can you see the shadowed arc on the bottom next to the rim that is not the side of it, it is the excess.

OK, I have another theory about this coin. While researching an attempt at translation, I stumbled upon this old thread, which talks about Iranian wedding coins. I suspect this custom, of throwing coin-like tokens around at celebrations such as weddings and Persian New Year, may explain the origin and purpose of your coin, too.
