The details are AU50.

The rim damage may drop it to XF.

The green stain could be conserved and removed. (Don't say cleaned)

I'm looking at this as a grading exersize. I don' think this coin has much of a premium.

On closer inspection I am going to have to lower my guess.

I'll say XF45 details and drop to XF40 from rim damage.

the details are very nice, but like vegas said the rim damage would most likely drop it to ef/vf.

Nice Walker...

I would give it EF-40, nice detail.

Nice coin!

I think with the lack of luster, pockets of verdigris, the small reverse rim ding and the bit of wear overall, I'm going with VF-30.

She's pretty! Definitely one of my favorite coin types! VERY elegant

Suggestion: Maybe some 100% acetone or BadThad's Verdi-gone to clean up the verdigris?

Edited: Maybe the green IS from an old PVC slip, so, then I'd go with acetone!

In terms of wear it looks like EF-40, maybe even EF-45 according to PCGS coin grading guidelines. The rim ding hurts the appeal for a potential buyer. The green haze might be removable using acetone. This is a common date and in this grade will sell for a baseline, bullion-related price of about $16 at most coin shops.

In the British grading system this coin is VF. There is no mint luster.

There is much too much wear on the high points to be graded EF.

IMHO, one of the best designs to be put on a coin ever, and I collect all coins from the invention of coinage from the 5th cent. BC, to 1964, all ages, all cultures.

XF40 IMO.

100% Acetone soak should lift and neutralize that green stuff.
