Here is a nice funny fake pillar, using the guatemala cob style ... but with the regular mexico pillar design (essayer MF, pillar and date design, etc ...)
http://cgi.ebay.es/BONITA-MONEDA-8-...t_500wt_1156

His other coin (cob from Potossi) looks better, but I'm sure it's not a good idea either :

Contacted him about the first one, will see what he says.

The "1837 20 Reales" is an obvious fake...
http://cgi.ebay.es/PRECIOSA-MONEDA-...280718521432

There are a few iffy things on the Potosi 1658 cob 8R, but it's certainly not a terrible, glaring fake from the photo. If only b/c of the company it's keeping, into the folder of possible/probable/likely fakes the pic goes...

Yes, I didn't managed to get clear details on the cob to be sure it was a fake (maybe some badly placed lines or details ...).
But considering what the seller has in his store, I wouldn't put my bills on it :D
Didn't had an answer from this guy yet, but another nice hint about it being fake is that the auction is a 3 day auction (on expensive coins you don't do that if you want to reach enough sellers)

Answer from the seller : pues no se que decirle yo se la recogi a una persona mayor que la tenia hacia muchos años gracias por la informacion
Translates roughly to : I don't know what to say, I was contacted by an old person to sell those, thanks for the information

Answered :
> This one is fake for sure as well : http://cgi.ebay.es/PRECIOSA-MONEDA-...t_500wt_1156
> Considering your rating, you should take cautions on what you sale, not sure you will appreciate to have a negative rating because of those.

His answer :
gracias por su informacion puede ser que la moneda estuvo completa y la cortaron gracias por la información
(couldn't translate, but the coins are still on sale without any notice)

"Yes, I didn't manage to get clear details on the cob to be sure it was a fake (maybe some badly placed lines or details ...)."

The 1658 cob's detail/style all looks perfectly accurate - no hand-modifying or anything of that nature. It would have to be a copy done faithfully from an original. If fake, it's a somewhat scary piece... that's why you have to be smart about where you buy from. At least a quick check of other items helps in this case.

On the coin itself, there's no obvious telltale porosity, just what looks like scattered contact marks... I'm looking at the peaks of the edges (where they come to points)... those few areas kind of have that rounded, molded look to them.

"...another nice hint about it being fake is that the auction is a 3 day auction (on expensive coins you don't do that if you want to reach enough **Buyers**)"

I wouldn't put much credence in that... Plenty of obvious scams run a full (7) days, and PLENTY of legitimate items get listed as (3) day or even sometimes (1) day auctions (the common 1-day time would be to list Saturday, end on Sunday evening, which is by far ebay's busiest traffic time). The idea of wanting a quick-hitter for a scam makes sense, but there are too many tangible and psychological reasons to legitimately run a short-term auction to automatically darn it. Also, remember, sellers are not all perfectly rational, intelligent creatures...

Considering his answers, I suppose that guy don't know what he is selling (the guatemala imitation is ... so great :p).
With a rating of 1502, I thought that guy would take longer to sell his coins - but well maybe you are right, it's common to do 3 day sales.

About the details on the cob, I don't like the edge on various parts on the shield side, and near the top left P on the other side. There is a strange line there over the top essayer E which don't look like a usage mark (could be wrong due to the picture) - and on the other side near the top left castle, I would check that with the coin in hand.
Maybe I'm too suspicious though, considering the two other obvious fake he has :)
