I've actually been considering joining as well. I kind of specializing in FEs and IHCs so it would be an obvious fit. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Thanks David. I figured you would respond ;-)
If I recall, $20 yearly; $35 for two. Although my main collecting focus and specialty are Colonials, IHC's are another of my loves.

Never heard of them. What is the purpose or situation that requires that membership fee? What do they do? Who are they? Any information?

Didn't know what they were either Carl, so I Googled it and found their homepage: http://www.fly-inclub.org/
If this link isn't allowed, I apologize.

The Fly-In club publishes a journal called "Longacre's Ledger" which is mailed to the members.
It has interesting articles on FEs and IHCs, and includes color pictures of new varieties by Rick Snow.

I still get their journals, but I haven't visited the forums for a while.
Honestly, CCF is more interesting--there's more energy here and more questions asked/answered.

Isn't Susan (Forum Mom) a member of Fly-In? At least her signature always states so. Hope she chimes in & maybe gets some credit for introducing some new applicants.

I have to agree, I was looking at their Forum too, and found it wasn't half as exciting as CCF.

When I found the site, I only read the About Us section. Now I decided to look at the forum page. You guys are right!
So....bland, and boring.... (No offense to anyone that frequents there)

It's nowhere near as exciting as CCF.

I find that most of the forums run by the specialty clubs are rather bland, but their publications tend to be very good.

That is why I will join. I love IHC's first off, then the publications. I belong to C4 (Colonial Coin Collectors Club) and love their publications and information.
