They did it huh? I guess we shouldn't be surprised because it was pretty much expected. Many were saying it was all ready priced in to the market, but I can't help but think there will be some moves in PM's to the up side.

Sorry, look back again, they pulled that statement back. The U.S. government thinks that "their numbers/data was off" and so they revoked their statement. We'll see if they end up putting it back out there.

This is the same S&P that rated all the subprime lenders as AAA right up until the point that they imploded.

Zero credibility in my book; this news is already priced into the market.

The U.S. is the largest debtor in the world. 15 trillion in debt and still rising. AA+ still seeseems a little generous.

First thing I noticed on my yahoo front page after getting in from work, rof. Finally, some justice in the world, how little it may be....

Will see Sunday evening when the Asian markets open up, and I bet which ever way it is, will be a good indicator for the week to come....

$15 trillion?
Analysts think it's double that, easy.
Some economists predict up to 50% unemployment if this continues. Hold on.
I agree, if there was a D+, that's about right.

Retracted you say. Seems like to me articles like these are out there thick still to this minute, and they can say their numbers were off or whatever doesn't matter. Close enough to consider down-gradable, and come on AA is not accurate it should be lower, the damage is done....

And once you let the cat out of the bag, well you get my point....

Yeah, wrong numbers like those phony employment numbers released the other day. Of course they will be "revised" later when there isn't so much fear in the market.
