Being the 2010 ATB 5oz Set. Costs roughly $1500. It got me thinking, theirs a lot of other things I'd like to own for this amount of money. Lets have some fun and post what else you would buy instead. It can be what ever you want, any number of purchases just as long as it adds up to roughly $1500. I love ATB's thank you for cashing in yours. Here's 15 freshly printed US 100 Dollar Bills. Have Fun!

This is one I'd love to have!

amassey, That's a pretty one (fix your image link tho).

I'd probably buy an oscillating spindle sander and a drum sander for my wood shop. That's roughly $1500. :)

Collection-wise, I collect a few sets of baseball cards from the late 90s. There are the high-end sets where the card companies started to go nuts and do multiple base parallel sets, where each parallel set got more and more scarce and sometimes serially numbered to 100 or less. I have about 4 sets that I'm trying to put together and $1,500 might complete one of them.

Coin-wise... I dunno. Right now I'd probably do $1.5k in ASEs (not UNC) or something with a low markup.

I would have bought 15 pails of 25 year shelf life dehydrated meals by Wise Foods OR An M-4 style rifle and some Ammo OR $1500 worth of pre '64 junk silver OR 15-20 MS64 or 65 common date Morgans for later resale OR diapers for our newborn.

I'd go with that certain Lincoln Cent your dying to own,
or maybe that Mercury dime missing from your set(if it is).
Me, there's a Indian Head cent I've been craving lately,
that be the 1877 of course.

I think I'd buy a few more commemorative's plus some of the older ones like a nice Oregon Trail and a Columbia Sesquicentennial and throw in some High grade Proof ASE's.

KelticKnot I was just using Google Sketch Up, drawing different designs to store/display ATB 5oz 2010 Set. Its a lot of fun, have you ever tried it. Its free.
I'd love to see pics of your wood shop, I hope to turn an old AT&T Switching Station into one. Right now its holding all of our storage and garage sale items. .Have you ever looked at Harbor Freights equipment. Their always having great sales on WS Equip. Man I'd get lost in their for days, Dust Collector with Mounted inlets by each pc of equipment. My next project will be the display for ATB's.
Mitchhailey do you happen to use Gerber Good Start, if so I've got some coupons. I've also got bags of diapers that my wifes Mother takes from work. Their all bran new. Mostly Huggies some luvs ect... What size is you new addition. I'm amazed at the price of these things. My son turned 3 in May, he was doing great using the potty, until water splashed up and bit his butt. lol now he don't want to hear nothing. Congrats on the new addition.

I see a lot of great choices, If I wasn't going the numismatic route, I'd say a Magpul-FMG-9 The flash light gun box. . Or Whites Spectra V3 Metal Detector,

Mitch...man....use cloth diapers. One time cost + laundry, and you aren't filling up the landfills.

I'm done buying equipment...that is, once I get a 14" bandsaw for resawing. My shop doesn't fit in my garage as it is (mostly metal equipment). I say that, whils't looking for a cheap 50 ton jack and power engraving kit so I can mint my own coins and such. Nothing fraudulent, just like the idea of it.

I would buy the last three Lincoln Cents that I need... 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, and the 1922-D "Plain" (in my case, the much cheaper "weak D" will do). I am sure I can get all three for $1500. It is just a matter of finding them.

I bought the ATB so I guess I would buy that for 1500. But on a side note I am not sure what I would get. There is so much stuff that I like

Well, I have the first five ATB's....(#5 arrived today)...and have pondered this question as well.

There is a really nice 09 S VDB in MS63, but the price is 2K.

I doubt I would drop $1500 on that proof Morgan from GSC, they have GREAT contrasty photos, and the coins usually do not look as nice in hand as you would be led to believe.

For that money, I'd get a 1/4 oz 2011 proof AGE, the uncirculated MOH and U.S. Army $5.00 gold. Mintage on each will not go over 10k, particularly if they suspend sales to adjust for the price of gold. At current pricing, you can't go wrong.

You could HAVE (not of) bought a lot of stuff. But I really like these, so I am spending that money on them. I'll get my CCs later.
