Modern Commemorative uncirculated Dollars. Then State/ATB quarters.

Isn't anyone thinking of Coppers? Those wonderful to hug and hold base metal pieces going back to the founding of our country. What gives? Ikes? You've got to be kidding me I can understand Mercury dimes and Liberty Walking halves, but Ikes? You might as well say Susie B's KK

You guys need to get out more. There's a lot more out there than U.S. coins LOL. My favourite are the 50 centavos from Portugal KM#577.. I have the complete set. Thanks to my friend Jose in Portugal. Steve

Triggersmob: You're absolutely right in your sentiment that as Americans we are being slightly ethnocentric regarding our favorite coin series. The Portuguese coins you are collecting are beautiful. My favorite non American coin series that I seriously collect are the British Farthings. Man can I go back with those. The wren series is my all time favorite of the farthings. Any series a collector collect has to be special, except collecting Ike dollars. One would have to wonder about that collectors childhood. KK

I depends on my mood. Sometimes Morgans, sometimes Large cents. I flip flop back and forth.

I thought this thread was asking what everyones favorite series was? Coin collecting .. as in life .. some people will like the same .. some will like something different. In my opinion why talk down what someone else likes. I have quite a few different Dansco's around 30. I did put together a nice Ike dollar set and I am thinking of doing another. They are nice big coins that many colectors like, with silver and clad versions and varities. It is also a fun set to put together with out spending a great deal of money. So where modern commemorative UNC dollars are my favorite I would have to say I like Ike too. I think if more people new all the interesting things Ike had done they might like him also.

I prefer the French Hercules series. They have first been minted in 1796 for 8 years then again in 1848, 1870, 1964, 1974 and finally in 1996 with virtually unchanged design. This year again with a face lift.

I am Canadian but I love US coins. My dream is to finish a full collection of Buffalo nickels. I absolutely love them.

Actually I thought this post was for US coins only. If all coins are included, there would be a lot of coins mentioned from everywhere. With US coins though it is good that there are so many differences in opinions. Imagine if everyone wanted the same coins.

Walkers, hands down, for me. I must say that Portugese 50 centavos coin is a beautiful design. First time I have seen one. I guess I should get out more!

Currently, I must admit that I only collect Canadian coins, but since joining this site I've been reading all of your posts and then I have gone searching to try and find out what the "heck" an Ike, and/or a Morgan actually look like! ... hopefully I'll catch-up, eventually.
My vote goes to => Canadian 25 cents (quarters) all the way! 1870-1901 (Queen Victoria) 1902-1910 (Edward VII) 1911-1936 (George V) 1937-1952 Caribou (George VI) 1953-2011 Caribou (Queen Elizabeth) => including my childhood favorite series, "1967 Centennial Series"

Canadian silver dollars Though I only have a type set,and no urge to have more,I believe it's the most attractive series of coins ever produced
