I'm thinking she squeezes in at XF40 with a few distracting scratches. Great deal for the money.

Maybe the light scratches knock it down to VF-35.

I would go VF-30, Her breasts are flat and so are the eagles feathers. Yes cleaned.

VF cleaned, but still a nice coin, despite scratches.

I was thinking XF at best, maybe more like a VF-30 net grade. Still you got it for under melt so nice pickup!

I'm guessing the tarnish that is left behind is one of the clues to being cleaned. True?
If there are other tip offs to being cleaned, what are they?

I like VF30 for this one. IMO: The polished look on the obverse is wear but the dark areas left behind in the lower, more protected areas indicate cleaning to me. Still, a glorious designed coin (one of my favorites!) and this one is a keeper.
