is this coin "struck through" something or just damage. the arc does NOT match the curve of another cent. the mark does not continue onto the rims. I'm not sure what I have. I just wanted to check with others before I discard it. thanks.

The image is too small to tell whether it's an error or post-strike damage.

Yup, I agree.

If it's what I think it could be, it would be a rim to rim die crack...but I would have to see better images to be sure of that.

I was able to magnify your picture and since the arc appears to be incused (indented) into the coin's surface, I imagine that it is post production damage.

Looks like a big scratch. The picture is too small for me to rule out being struck through a string or wire. Is there any zinc showing?

It might be a struck through error? Better images would help.
