G-6 maybe VG-8. The better question is "is it real?"

Also, possible PVC damage. The '16 and '16-S definitely have the green goo going on.

I think I would go g-06. This is the last one I need for my whitman. It's way hard to find a g- 6 of g 8 for a decent price. That 1,000.00$ just won't come out of my pocket.

That 1916-D looks like a G-6. You should make sure it is genuine if you are planning on paying any significant premium for it. Lots of added mintmarks out there.

Get it certified by ANACS,NGC,or PCGS. Tons of fakes out there.

Am I the only one seeing the dreaded green goo from PVC? The TPG will send it back if it's got active PVC contamination, so that's gotta get cleared up first.

I see the 1916 and 1916 S have PVC contamination for sure. This looks like one of those old Harco albums which destroy coins.

Yes Captain,

I notice that green PVC stuff too. I would definitely remove all coins from the plastic holders.
The picture to the front is too small to determine a true grade, is that a scratch in the mouth area?

If not than I guess is a G-6.

The reverse is missing a full rim to get a VG-8 or VG-10.
I would agree about sending it for a TPG inspection in regard to its authenticity.

Nice find. G4/6 doesn't make much difference in price, $800/$1000.
