Keep in mind that the whole "still sealed in the box they are shipped in" only applies to having the entire set graded, since three of the five coins are available outside of the 25th anniversary set.

If you just want to get individual examples of the two "special" coins graded, NGC will do that and mark it with the special 25th anniversary label. Since those are the two coins most likely to appreciate in value, it might be worth it.

So how many of you are gonna send in all 5 sets for grading? Do you think it worth the extra $500 in costs?

And does everyone else's orders say On Hold?

My sets were ordered within the first hour so maybe they are earlier strikes, who knows, I'm thinking we will learn a whole lot more after these babies are delivered.

100,000 bullion coins can be struck in a single day. How about an "Only Strike" label.

How do people think that if they are the first people to order at 12:01 pm they will be the "early strikes, or anything different than just another set of coins from the pile of 100,000 sets? PS, And to think so, is an utter joke........I wish all who sought a set good luck....These sets are off the charts on ebay for "now"!!

"Only Strike" doesn't sound professional, how about "mono strike" label?

E-bay?, who are you? This is from ebay guides.
According to what this says, then all my orders are apparently canceled, I might get one set if I'm lucky, and you all better go get on that waiting list right now, I mean why .. well forget that, now buy it from us/e-bay, hypocrites.

If you're one of the MANY collectors that didn't get an opportunity to purchase of those the 100,000 sets produced by the mint, don't lose hope, you'll still have plenty of opportunities to have this fantastic shelf piece. I have created this guide to outline why individuals and collectors should WAIT to purchase the 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set.

Many investors take advantage of the ebay rules for "Pre-Sale" auctions and attempt to sell items before they're even released for sale. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but many ebay buyers will end up getting the disappointing, "cancellation notice" because a seller's US Mint order gets cancelled. I would like to stress the concept or waiting until sellers have coins in hand - Late November 2011. There are reports of many cancelled orders for individuals that placed multiple single set orders to the same address in hopes of receiving individually packaged sets. The Mint has reported that multiple orders to the same address are being cancelled, regardless of order quantities (even less than 5). Many collectors are bowing their heads in disappointment after working 2 to 3 sets individually. Enjoy using ebay to purchase your 25th Anniversary Set, just be sure to read the ebay guidelines and follow ebay buyer/seller best practices.

Happy ASE Collecting!

Be sure to favorite me as a seller and check out my future auctions! Thanks!

The shipment date was pushed back at some point today from 11/11/11 to 11/12/11. Hope this isn't a sign the that order will go unfulfilled. Also, I have no order date. Does anyone know why this might be?

Not only does the mint use address, credit card#, name etc. to weed out multiple orders they also use your IP address so even if you change all the info and use the same computer it wont work.

I've had orders from the U.S. Mint that had ship dates change. If you don't get a cancellation email, I wouldn't worry about it. Mu order process date is listed in the email confirmation I received after placing my order.

I know I may get rotten tomatoes thrown at me, but there are just too many people bragging about how many of these sets they were able to get, while there are many from what I have read that tried all day, and never got one.
I would not count your chickens before they are hatched, you may be very disappointed when you end up getting NOTHING!
It happened to me with the coin and chronicle set, I had a conformation email it showed up in my account as usual just the same as all other orders I had made, and I got my order in early like the 1st half hour. So about a week later I get an email saying it was canceled
I checked on line and sure enough it said line canceled, there was nothing wrong with my cc either, I called on the phone and got the
same run around Earle42 is having right now; they apologized and blamed it on the computer ordering system, but assured me I would
be the 1st to get one if it became available, of course that never happened.

On this set I only ordered 1 for our collection too much $$$ for me to get more, I could have gotten the limit, but there is just too much greed out there people talking about HSN and all the other big boys having everyone and their brother getting orders in, well it seems like we are no different here. I'm just saying don't be bragging about how many you got remember the ones who never got any and all they wanted was just one for their collection. Before you go on ebay and start pre-sale if you were lucky enough to get 5, "or more" "and that is assuming you get any at all" maybe you should offer at least one to some of the members here on CCF I'm sure they would pay you extra "maybe not as much
as you might get on ebay", and you would feel good, isn't that what this is a "Family"
OK you can start throwing rotten tomatoes at me now ;-)
