Maybe cleaned at some time over the past 176 years, but it's a circulated coin and is not unattractive (to me) in its present state.

What technical grade would you assign it?

I actually bought this one cheap so I could put it in the 7070 and leave my high grade 1832 in a holder.

I'll take a stab at it, and say VF-25 to VF-30?

I would say VF-25. Great strike and detail on the stars but the wear on the broach and the eagle's wings keep it in VF territory. It is a nice looking coin and would look great in your 7070 I think.

I think around the VF-20 to VF-25 area.

My own feeling was VF-20 Obverse, F-15 Reverse. Nice for the price though. The seller priced it at F-12 money.

I'd buy every one of those I could at F12 money. Even cleaned, as long as it wasn't blatant.

This coin's actually considerably darker than it appears in the pictures.

44 dollars delivered ... I'll buy as many as I can find.

It basically looks more like this....a little less "blue" though.

Looks very close to VF20. The technical grade might be F15 but the market grade could go VF25.

I think this is more of a VF+ coin.
