Imohtep - yes the $20 for $20 coins are on sale at each of our boutiques - Ottawa, Winnipeg and Vancouver. But I suggest you call first to make sure they have them in stock. They sell very quickly and new batches are always coming in, but you don't want to waste a trip!

I forgot all about my order and received my three today... a nice Friday surprise.

Came in a folder like the ad, in airtites in vinyl type coin pockets.
I didn't break out a magnifier, but they look real nice. The folder was firmly shipped in a bubblope and all was pristine. Got the free shipping so it was truly the 20 for 20 (60 for 60) deal. Sign me quite satisfied... but with much less hype than the first in the series.

I live in Wisconsin. If I tried to enter Mint1, mint1, and Maclean's 13 and none of them work for free shipping. Do they offer free shipping to the US?

Thanks.

silverguy, I have to look into that for you. My hunch is that those promo codes are for Canada only. :(

You can call our US customer service number to confirm: 1-800-268-6468 (US)

I'd buy but to ship to the US is $12.99, almost doubling the cost, which is more than I think it is worth even though it is a striking coin. I would think if they want to widen they market more the RCM would make it a little easier on the pockets of us in the lower 48. I know I'd snap up several if not for the high shipping.

Just picked up two.

I already had a 2011 Great Grey Owl Specimen Set on the way, as well. I knew I should've bought the $20 Commem at the same time, especially at international shipping rates to Chicago; well, live and learn, I guess.

Mine arrived today... two... both have chatter on the cheeks of Elizabeth. Don't like this one as much as last year's.

A little off topic maybe(I might even be in the wrong section.)I ordered the coin.My visa was billed. The mint shipped it out September 30th.
I still haven't received it(a month later.)
All the things I ordered from the mint in the past have never taken this long.Any suggestions aside from contacting the RCM directly or just wait a bit longer?

Can someone explain this coin a little bit to me? I'm brand new to Canadian commemoratives, so the pricing has me a little confused.

So $20 (plus shipping) for 1/4 oz. of silver. Silver is at $32/oz USD right now, so that doesn't really seem like a good deal to me at $80/oz, even worse than the markups the US Mint charges (hard to believe, I know). Even if I get 3 and average my $12.99 USD shipping (yep, I'm in the States) across the 3, it's still a hefty upcharge.

Cool looking coins though. If there's numismatic value there, I still might order. As someone said, 60 bucks ain't gonna break the bank.
