I won a 1921 peace dollar, but unfortunately the photos were better than coin in hand. The seller had a return policy. I sent the coin back with an e-mail notification to the seller a well as sending it out priority mail/ delivery confirmation. I know the coin was delivered 2 days ago, but I have not yet received my refund......how long should I wait before I contact him again?

I would not wait. I think he should have contacted you when the coin arrived. I think you are setting up a plot for a huge butt pain!

Did you contact the seller first before sending the coin? Not that it should matter, but a courtesy email in advance of sending the coin back would have been appropriate in my opinion. Some sellers have a return process that they expect. Just curious more than anything...

Yeah, I did, also with the reasons why I was returning it. I however did not get a response back from him

This is from the ebay link above (mmorgan22):

You should receive a refund within 3 days of the seller promising a refund or within 10 days of the seller receiving the returned item. If you haven't received a refund by then, please contact ebay through the Resolution Center, and we'll work with the seller to provide you a refund.

Though I haven't had too much trouble returning coins thusfar, one did make me ask twice before giving me the return address to send it back to ( which was different than the return address on the original package, BTW ). Another took the full 10 days to process the refund as well, ignoring my emails in between.

So some stretch it out a bit - which sucks as I pay within seconds of winning an auction or committing to buy typically.

I haven't opened an issue ticket, but two of the returnees did. Not sure why they chose to open a ticket on the transaction. Maybe it provides some insurance from bad reviews?
