TLS,

I have a 1917 SLQ that is graded EF40 by Anacs. It has more head and shield detail on the obverse and the top of the eagles left wing has more detail.

With that as a reference and review of my ANA grading book I would say you have a VF example here.

with out looking at my book I would say vf but lean to the EF Grade, but of course your photo will show the wear down the middle but does not show anyother mark possiably in the field's. your photos are way better than Mine, but I would think the photo needs to be less yellow and more white for us to see the true surface of the coin taking that into consideration JimR might of hit the nail on the head, with his Grade

Here is a pic of the obverse of my 1917-S SLQ graded EF40 by ANACS that I submit to assist TLS and the forum in determining the grade of his SLQ.

The attractive rim toning is an added bonus.
