I just dug out these Lincolns of which only one roll is zinc and that is an UNC roll of 1983. The back row is mostly different solid date copper memorial cents in XF to BU with a number of solid BU rolls and the front rows are solid date XF to AU post 1939 rolls with a few mixed date pre 1940 rolls and S mints. These have been dormant for about 28 years and have never checked for varieties except probably 1972 double dies and 1955 double dies so I suppose I might find some over mint marks and who knows what. I am slightly overwhelmed as to what to do with these but I think I'll go through them and pick out maybe a dozen rolls of coins with eye appeal and look at my cherry picker guide for what else I might nab. Then I'll be selling the rest off as copper cent rolls with plenty of wheat cents mixed in. Edited by TNG 10/08/2011 02:31 am

Looks like a lot of fun to be had there . 1983 has 14 errors/varieties listed on CC's site so don't over look them just because they are zinc, just sayin' John1

Why not sell the copper and wheat cents separately?

I would pull out any really nice high grade BU coins as they have some value to them. I think you would also do well to pull out the BU copper memorials in general and sell them as BU mixed rolls. There are a number of people building memorial sets who would take a chance to score a few upgrades at a reasonable price. I'd say your problem is kind of a fun one to have - who doesn't love to go through a bunch of old rolls like that?

Ah! That reminds me of my old Wheat collection. I sold them to Yesterday's Change in Richmond for 0.03 a piece. The wheaties were all G-XF. Got $1200 for them... which I turned around and bought a choice 1914 D lincoln!
Major score for a couple years of change picking.

Quote: I would buy some rolls of BU LMCs for my roll set, PM me if you are interested. I intend to sell these here on CCF after I do a little organizing and picking through them for myself. No need to ask for any now. When I am selling coins, I usually edit my signature to show a link and announce what I have for sale so it is easy to see what I am selling and when. Thanks for everyone's interest and input and as well any future business too!

I don't know what you paid for the 1914 D or the grade but 40000 copper cents have about $800 copper bullion value(for now). At this time it's probably a good deal.

I'm starting to lean toward quality instead of quantity with my collecting habits, so I agree with your thinking to get rid of some of the "stuff". But maybe I'll buy some anyway
