Very nice set Ralph! wow, that's a big set to tackle and you have made a lot of progress. I am curious also...how long has it taken to get your set this far?

Thanks for sharing! Two thumbs up!!

Nice looking set. I know three coins that will be tough, some I need
1863- 14,000 minted
1864- 11,000 minted
1865- 10,000 minted

I like it and good luck with those three coins as well. thanks for showing.

Seems like my slow day idea (posting the scans) was a good idea.....generated quite a bit of interest.
First of all, thanks to all for responding.
After I finished the Roosevelt dimes, I started the Mercury dimes. When I finished that set, I moved on to the Barber dimes. After completing that set, I started the Seated Liberty dimes, and I've been three or four years getting this far with the set. I expect it to take, at least, another three or four (or longer) to complete, but won't it be a dandy set when I'm done? Money (or rather the lack of) seems to be the sticking point, so I just add a little to my coin-collecting-set-aside when I can, and wait for the next coin I can afford.
As to the question of condition/grade - I started with the idea of a set in fine or better, and did quite well in following that plan throughout the "common dates", but look closely, and you'll see that there are quite a few that will grade very good, and even some that won't grade above good.....my pockets just aren't deep enough to collect the scarce/rare dates in fine or better.
Yes KenKat, the twelve I need to complete the set are all scarce, and carry an asking price that reflects their scarcity, but I'll get there someday - just have to save up for them. One thing this hobby teaches us is patience.

Ah yeah, the Mercury dimes are going to be nice.

I have like 5 ms-63 1942 Mercury dimes. I never bought much because when I did have like 20 I sold them to my brother. He kept asking me for them. That was before. Now I never sell my coins unless I don't like it for some reason. Tonight I think I will go threw my whole collection and write down what I have.

I do have some wrote down but it's like 80% of my coins wrote down. I got some cool ones I forgot about. A few days ago I was going threw my coins I found my Seated dime. Once I saw it, I remembered how much I liked them. Now that you posted that awesome folder it makes me want more of them.

Sweet set! Kind of wish I had started with Seated Liberty dimes instead of Seated Liberty quarters!

Thank you guys for the more recent responses - your words are encouraging. As I pointed out in a previous post, it's been some years since I started the set, and, if and when I complete it, more years will have passed, but I still get those warm fuzzies when I can find an affordable coin to take me one step closer to completion, so i'll just keep plodding along till I reach my goal.....a complete set.
