And you are correct yotie! The BTW was minted for six years (1946 through 1951) at all three mints .... so there are 18 total date/mm BTW to collect. Your lovely 1946 Philly example is one of only four classic USA silver commemorative with a mintage above 1 million ... in this case 1,000,546 coins. I would enjoy seeing photos of the entire set if you indeed chase after it. David

A set of Booker T. Washington's (18 in all) is not undo-able but there are several with minimal mintage. Most of the ones I have seen have been the 1946 dated coins with many that are circulated. This design is under the radar of sub series designs and the low mintage coins can be had for a much better price than similar mintage's of more popular series such as the Oregon Trail design.

Nice coin.
I went with one of those to fill a commemorative half hole in my 7070 due to it being one of the lowest price classic commemoratives along with the Columbian Expo and the George Washington Carver / Booker T Washington coins (which are my other 2)

Well ... I've shared widely my goal of collecting two 50-coin USA classic silver commemorative type sets ... one set MS and one set honestly circulated. To that end I have the Booker T. Washington example covered to my satisfaction as a type collector ... and sincerely applaud your efforts to collect all 18 BTW if you choose to do so. All 18 examples would be a great set to own and share with us! To your question ... with a few humble photos if I may ... My MS BTW is a lovely brilliant white, cartwheel luster and well struck 1950-S. PCGS MS66/CAC approved. My circulated BTW is a FR2/AG3 1946 Philly mint coin ... the date can actually be seen in hand ... Compare my 1946 to yours ... a wonderful visual example of the history of these coins and IMHO indicative of the nature of the post-war times in the USA ... some folks were well enough off to save coins ... and to some the coin was a means to purchase daily needed things. Hoping to see some more from you Yotie. Best wishes to find what makes you happy ... you are now lacking the 1946-D (mintage 200,113) for a complete 1946 set. David
