Eagle1. What are some of the varieties you have come across from the CherryPickers Guide? I have been collecting many of the cents from this guide.

Have one complete set with a VF-20 1922 no D, strong reverse. Just traded away a complete set of Brilliant Proofs (1936-2011) for some Anniversary ASE's. I'm helping my 10 year old grandson on his first set and he's doing great. About a dozen to go... Woohooo... Let's pass this obsession on to future generations!!

Was collecting the series as a kid in blue Whitman books, but had lots of missing pre-40. Lately I'm thinking about finally filling out the series, and possibly upgrading some of the coins.

The 1922 no D cent really doesn't belong in a cent collection since it was made by a filled die which is classified as an error not a variety. Personally, I have never collected Lincoln cents. As a teenager, during the late '60's into the early '70's, I would ride down to the bank on my bicycle to buy bags of cents and pull out the wheat backs and then take them to the coin shop and sell them for .75 a roll. I never found any cents from the teens or twenties with a mint mark or any 1909's with or without the VDB. The money was used to buy circulated Barber and Mercury dimes and BU Roosevelt dimes, Washington quarters and Franklin halves. Ed ANA LM-3175

I'm collecting 1909 - 1982 p's, d's and s's, and trying to find them all from box searching. I have found a lot in the past year or so. I'm down to 43 holes, mostly from the teens and 20's, and a couple 30's. I know I will eventually have to buy a few to finish, but it is fulfilling finding them for face.

My Dansco is complete 1909 - 2011, minus only the 09-S VDB.

Noop, gave up on them and Indian Heads a couple years ago and sold off what I could. Decided that Large Cents presented more of a challenge so went in that direction.
