The Lincoln album the page simply stops at 1958 with blank spots and the next picks up with the LMCs. No reason they couldnt have done the same for the Jeffs.
True.

If they were really using the Lincoln as an example, they would offer both solutions. The Lincoln can live in one album (7100/8100) or separate albums (7103, 7102/8102, 7104/8104).

I am not saying I agree with their choices, just trying to understand why they have made them.

I've talked to a couple of Dansco Retailers. All they seem to know is that Dansco will be doing a new album probably by year end. They have no idea what year it's going to start with.

Starting a new album six years after a logical break sure makes it seem like someone was asleep over at Dansco R&D department.

On one hand I do agree that it would be great to have all our albums up to date and with a hole for each coin that we think should needed for our collection.

On the other hand .. Dansco must be thinking.

What is the U.S. Mint doing to my business. They change design on us, (cent and nickel). They add coins to a series, ATB park quarters. They do not make intended coins our albums have slots for, ASE proof eagles.

I would wonder if the mint might be telling dansco about possible status of coins. Like maybe stop making a Kennedy half dollar or maybe some new possible type coins.

Can you imagine spending a lot of money designing a new product and building up inventory, then seeing a mint change that will make that inventory not sell.

I can imagine that Dansco is not very happy with the "S" mint ATB Quarters .. I know as a collector I would like to have a spot for them in my album.

I also wish that Dansco had a spot for the 1998 S matte proof half dollar. Of course that would make that coin price jump to a much higher level. Maybe I should purchase a couple extra of those.

Halfhunter, I use a ptouch label maker with clear labels in my blank quarter albums.
It looks great and you can customize.

good idea, I may do that with my canadian cents album, since that set is done being minted. I will probably get more excited about it when I obtain the last 5 from the 20's I need.

For the kennedys I will maintain my extra page for the coming years, see what dansco does, and also see if the mint does anything with the series.

Welllll, they will have to either come up with a new series, or a whole new reverse, or revert back to original or a whole new design for the quarter. So, the album has to end where it does now. So, at the end a page or pages can be added to accommodate the S mints. I hope.
