@RoyalSilver

Is that after ebay fees? I find shipping in Canada super expensive....the size of a clamshell just makes the box big enough that its at least 15 bucks for shipping....

before fees. So I made like $10 lol. Whatever, better than sending back to RCM and LOSING money on return shipping. I guess my $100 coin only ended up costing me $90 :)

Shipping was $12.34 ....to a destination I could drive to within an hour lol

Technically shipping a coin by itself v.s. in a clamshell should cost around the same. You can't ship anything but paper in a letterpost as per CP policy. Lots of people still do, but if the letter is lost or gets jammed in processing, there's no way to recover cost/coin even if it's insured ('cause you've technically only insured for paper with a letterpost)

I don't see why not. If Canada Post gets the $100 for $100 coins, they will likely sell for $125 each.

I ship stuff in bubble envelops letter post all the time....those are not made for just paper are they?

Yeah but lots of people I ship to are willing to take the risk of a coin in a bubble envelope....1.50 compared to 15 dollars....RCM ships 20for20 in bubble envelope letter post....if I was shipping a gold hoard coin or something than ya package and insurance and the whole bit but $20 to $80 coins......

Could you guys just tell, please, although this question not really for this forum:
Doesn't the shipping charge appears somehow automatically, or the seller should know all the postal charges to all countries?

Not reaslly. If you stick a clamshell in the padded envelop, it doesn't fit through their slot and it actually count a packages. It safer to stick it in a box and ship it. Where as if you ship the coin by it self in the padded envelop, it is much cheaper if you don't need it to be track or insurance. I once shipped 1oz coin via padded envelop for $1.54.

@Silveroid
In ebay, you can choose the type of shipping you want to offer, add size and weight and the places you are willing to ship.
This way, the seller just enter it's location (automatic when logged in) and the shipping cost automatically adjust. When you go to shipping section of the auction, when it's not fixed cost you can choose country + enter zipcode and you see the actual shipping cost.

Same here... I usually ship all <50$ value items via letterpost (when it fits obviously). 20for20, dollar bills, hockey or collectibles cards, etc.
You never get insurance on letterpost anyway, and no tracking/signature, so Murphy law can apply on this method of shipping, package lost, damaged or just declared as "item not received" by the buyer. So do this only for "low-value" item and don't ship this way if you're risk averse ;)

For most of the shipping methods it is true, but not for all. For example, Light Packet International cost me the same amount trough PayPal as in the Post Office - $5.20.
