Quote: Coin shows in Oregon are few and far between. Our next one is over on the coast mid August. Coin shows at most places at one time were scarce. However, like almost anything, once started, more and more could pop up. Problem is someone to start it all. You could be the one. Check out any possible coin clubs there. Also, on this and other coin forums, contact as many people in the area and talk about starting a coin show or two. It would only take a place to rent, some decent lighting, several collectors that want to sell a few or trade some coins. If you do and it all works out, just send me a few Merc Dimes for my services.

52Raymo: The Library of Coins series of albums are great old fashioned ones and they have created some beautifully toned coins. Its a good way to add a natural darkening to a silver coin that's original and not cleaned but maybe just a dull grey.

What dates and grades do you need in Mercury dimes 52Raymo? I just listed several on USA Coinbook from 1916-30 in G-VG but then I have a few that are better.

Wow I've never even heard of that site but I'm checking it out now. Does everyone use PayPal ? I used to go to WebStore but it's a pain as some people don't do PayPal and I like it.

52Raymo: This is the link to my page: http://www. (207) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com/members/atchisonbj/ and I can list a 23-S Mercury I either have a G or VG if that's what you need. Everybody tends to use Paypal on the site it is faster. Of course most people including myself will take a US Postal Money Order.

The guy is sending me a 23-S to make up for his mistake. I'm gonna have to check out that site. I looked at your stuff while I was there. I noticed everything was a fixed price, does anyone do bidding/auctions ?

A few people do auctions but most people list at a fixed price especially stuff that's really not economical to list on ebay. The Mercury dimes I did from G-VG are a good example. Of course I have to figure in postage for each coin but if somebody does a large order say like 10 different coins and they are in the USA that's not going to cost $20 to mail. So when I get the receipt at the PO I use that to figure a refund on excess postage.

You may want to check out Miller's Mint for any that you still need. their inventory is usually extensive.
