I thought the coin was scratched on the face but when I looked at under the Steroscope its not. KurtS Pillar of the Community United States 5318 Posts	Posted 06/27/2008 11:59 am I hope those "scratches" enabled you to negotiate down the price If you ask me, they appear very much to be "woodgrain" planchet alloy streaks--common to Lincolns of this period. LOL The wheatheads are just a little worn (boarderline EF) and there's cheek/jaw separation, VF30-35. EDIT - Thanks for posting a Lincoln, I've been getting withdrawls lately.
