There is a 'return label' included, but it's just a sticker. As far as I remember, the US Mint has never included a pre-paid return label.
I'm refusing to pay for return shipping, despite the promise to get my return shipping costs back. I don't trust them. :)

In the meantime, I'll enjoy a cup of tea and will try to create a return shipping label every morning. I'll add it to my daily chores.

Also, today was the first day during which no sets were made available on the US Mint's website.

Let me see if I'm following this correctly: The USM has Your $$, and you are holding a USM coin set, that you really do not want, hostage, until you get a label from the USM.

Enjoy your morning tea, you sure are proving something to the USM.

I had a horrible experience with USM, which should probably have ended my years of patronage, but in my case the USM had my money and my coin set, and it took several emails to the USM director to materialize the coin set from a months-long disappearance. It was returned to me with a photocopied letter that it was returned outside of the 7 day timeframe, because they included the months long disappearance in their estimation of time. Another few emails to the USM director and they realized that the timeframe should have been from the date it arrived at my house to the date it was signed received at their facility, which was 4 days.

The Mint's return policy is

Quote:
Return Policy

If for any reason within 7 days of receiving your product you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return the entire product for refund. Shipping charges will not be refunded for all returns.

The United States Mint will not accept partial returns nor will it issue partial refunds. For example, if you receive a United States Mint Silver Proof Set™ where one coin is in unacceptable condition, you must return the entire Proof Set, not just the one coin, to receive a refund.

The United States Mint reserves the right to limit or refuse a return or to charge a fee for excessive returns. In addition, the Mint reserves the right to suspend accounts of customers with a pattern of excessive returns.

To return your product, you may visit your Order History and initiate a return online or Contact Customer Service.
For your protection, we strongly recommend that you return your order by insured mail and save the receipt for your records. The United States Mint is not responsible for lost return shipments.

All refunds will be credited in United States Dollars.
For further information about returns or refunds, Contact Customer Service.

Where does it say that the Mint will pay for the return shipping costs

Well, I thought I just chat with someone to see if I get a different response. I did...

First of all I was told that my order from Jul 13 is no longer eligible for returns as it's past the 7-day return window. I responded that my order arrived Jul 19.
OK, my order was good after all. And I was promised a return shipping label which is supposed to arrive within 1-2 business days by email.

Let's see if that actually happens.

I guess the lesson to be learned is that if you do not get the response you expected, just call or chat again until you do.

And I think I have taken up way too much forum space with this.

Back to the set - someone bought an RCM set w/o coins, COA or capsules for probably* close to $85:

*watchcount.com used to be the site that reveals accepted best offer prices, but there's a glitch in the system. Hence, it does not work right now.

I hit the Jackpot!
NGC has finalized the grading on the Three sets I submitted, and is returning the six coins to me.
ALL six coins we're graded pf70
I'm very happy! Can't wait to see what these coins look like in person.
Excellent and Congratulations!

NGC recently created a special Registry Set exclusively for the Pride of Two Nations Coins. There are two variations of the Enhanced Rev Proof and the Modified Maple Leaf Proof - One coin from each of the two mints:USM sets; and RCM sets.
The points are the same for each mint-PF70 grade: 618 points for the ASE; and 420 points for the Maple Leaf. Total of 1,038 points for each set.
I contacted NGC about why the points for the Registry sets are the same, when the total populations available to collectors is significantly different 10:1.
I was advised that NGC may revisit the points awarded these sets/ coins in the future.
Rest in Peace

Points for recent (5 years, even) are often terribly low. A super tough ASE from a Congratulations set or Limited Edition set may only be a few points higher even when they cost hundreds of dollars more on the secondary market.

Same for very low mintage modern commemorative issues with much higher value pointed as if it were very common.

I purchased three RCM sets from a Canadian dealer. I submitted the sealed box that I received from the Canadian dealer to NGC so that my coins would be designated as part of the 10K Canadian sets.

NGC created a special two flag Label, #1281, which they offered at no additional charge. These are Modern coins so all the standard NGC fees apply.

@dave92029: interesting that NGC accepted the sealed box from a Canadian dealer to give you the Canadian Set designation. I thought they only accept mint sealed boxes.
