That's great Dave, man, I should have bought my RCM set from a Canadian dealer instead of APMEX, I doubt NGC would give mine a Canadian set designation if I sent them in.

I just picked up my Canadian set from Power Coin at the post office.
I am not one for graded coins, but should I make the exception? It's not directly from the mint, but would it still be ok to submit later to PCGS if I don't open it?

Quote: Submit the coins in the original unopened shipping box from the U.S. Mint with a postmark date prior to the specified PCGS cutoff date. Since the PCGS First Strike policy really only addresses coins from the US Mint, if you are seriously considering submitting the coins for grading and want the First Strike label, then you might want to contact PCGS and find out what the policy is concerning Canadian coins from a RCM authorized reseller

A sealed box from a Canadian seller should be enough to get the set designated Canadian, but give them a call and double check that. As far as first strike if you ship before the deadline it doesn't matter whether you have a sea sled box or not, that's the same for all coins from all countries. After the deadline you'll need a sealed post marked box prior to the deadline that was sent and post marked before the deadline. Once that box is opened after the deadline you loose the ability to get first strike.

The set is available again at the US Mint and more than 99 of it.
And needless to say, I did not receive my promised return shipping label. Just plain awful customer service...
EDIT: I just chatted again with the US Mint and was told that the return shipping label was sent Jul 25 (two days after I requested the return via chat).

Got my 2 RCM sets today from Powercoin. Certs 3663 and 3664. I asked them not to open from the RCM shipping packaging -- of course they opened it and repackaged -- I won't ever buy from Powercoin again. But since the coins have plastic over them inside the flip open coin packaging does that qualify them as unopened for TPG grading? I will probably have to call the TPG, but asking if anyone knows

I think Powercoin was delivered by RCM with a huge sealed package and they need to open, to check the sets and send them out separately to the customers. I doubt that Powercoin received one by one sealed packaging for each set, that would be a logistic disaster. ^^

Just got my set photographed, and I dared not remove them from their capsules. And just so everyone knows, the enhanced reverse proof ASE is not a coin at all- it's a piece of art. It is such as exquisite coin. Wow. The silver maple leaf? Well, I kinda like it. It just seems too busy. The lettering gets lost in all those little leaves. The term "modified" is definitely appropriate.

I was away for a week and the package was just left outside my door when it was supposed to be registered mail. the box is way too large and too flat corners were heavily bumped luckily no damage inside and the worst part yes theres even a worse part than already mentioned, the writing on the address label is so poor I cant even believe I actually got the package! the label looks like it was written 30 years ago and totally faded away and of course the fact it took forever to arrive wow what a horrible experience from gatewest I will never order from this company again

@M0nks-thanks for the reply. Customs released mine to usps on the 23rd but no tracking has been provided from them so not even able to track. If the address label is as bad as you say yours was then who knows where it'll end up.
