Super clear doubling on IGWT. Well done @gsp!

It's surprising how affordable these super strong DDO Kennedy halves are. I just sold one of these an hour ago on ebay in UNC condition and it went for $28. A Lincoln Cent with doubling that strong would go for far more. I really like the Kennedy varieties and would probably recommend them to anyone starting out in varieties as a way to get some big DDOs in MS grade for not a lot of money.

You are right Trop. Only one problem with: For 20 years I want to finish my set till 2000 with design varieties and not with the DD's and not finish yet. It's hard but I will do at the end.

Well Silviosi, I also just sold a complete set of all Kennedy design varieties in MS condition from 1964-2011. It only went for $400.

Thats true tropicalbats, I love the Kennedy halves, I have bought a few of these strong DDO's and nice ones are reasonable. So finding in the wild would be great but I did not have much luck and it's actually cheaper to buy a nice one IMHO. They are definitely fun to look at and it has helped me to know a little better what to look for by having a few in hand.

One of my favorites in Kennedy DDO series.I agree the prices are reasonably affordable for Kennedy DDO varieties, but the grade is what really takes them to another level such as the OP's ,looks like a high grade beauty.

I have another one but only goes to 2009 I think. Haven't looked at it closely yet. Don't know what the transition coin is, but it's a dansco 8166 album with all the holes filled. The last one had a 1968-S proof DDO which I just left in there. Don't know if this one has anything or not but I don't remember any of the big ones in there. But you need to PM me so we can stop hijacking this thread!

There are so many Kennedy DDOs for this date when also taking into account the two REV types of the flared or straight G in FG. I could not find a reference for the TI and TII REV that lists all the varieties. So I once started to try to catalog them by looking over all PCGS pics of all the 1964 P&D halves they have pics of. Although I put a lot of time into it, I admit the project is undone and on the back burner for now.
After the ones I collected filling up an entire album page, I decided enough was enough for the time being.

Very cool pick! I agree a very underrated series of doubled dies. You can get darn strong Doubled/tripled dies in this series for cheap, and on large coins too. Well done!

@Earle if you want I can send you by PM an name and address of who start to do this. It is same person who publish the Rev varieties for quarters. Me I study those but just study and if it is I give the studies to who want to publish. IMO 1964 has 4 masters. PS The FG is one factor but are others also. The TPG's do not care about, they in general do Market Grading and not Technical Grading. So this it is on those days.
