Thank you for checking my post ! Hoping for input on this 1988D penny.I've read the reverse Wide AM is a little more hard to find? But also notably present to me on the reverse word America appears double struck?. I did the best I could on pictures. I'm still trying to produce better pics over all. Thanks so much.

a WAM is normal for this year, What I think that you are looking for the 88 with the reverse of an 89 and it is the FG that is key to knowing what it is. Please post up a good clear image of the FG initials.

You have the normal 1988 reverse (RDV-005). The one you want to look for is the 1988 RDV-006. https://doubleddie.com/278722.html

Thanks for the FG image - not very good, but good enough to see that the 'G' has the horizontal crosslet, and the vertical part of the G is out of line with the top of it. So Think that you have a keeper here. It appears that it has the reverse of the 1989, which makes this a 'transitional cent'.

any chance you can get us an image that is in focus?

look at this:

One thing to keep in mind: phones and tablets probably work better if you get the coin in focus, digital zoom a little closer, then snap the picture. You can always crop a bigger picture to a small feature.

Whatever you did earlier to get this picture of a Roosevelt dime mint mark worked pretty well:
