Error On 1776-1976 Quarter - Coin Community Forum

cterry56 New Member United States 9 Posts	Posted 09/23/2025 02:17 am I'm going through my change and I have a few 1776-1976 quarters. I decided to look at it under a micro-scope and noticed what looks like an extra knuckle on the right hand. I think there's come doubling on the E Pluribus. I'm just starting in the collection and checking coins and I want your professional opinion. I will upload other coins later. I hope I made this the correct size. In comparing the OP's coin to the PCGS PF-69 version, the hand looks a bit different to me, especially between the knuckles of the index and middle fingers. Could be damage or a die chip, but a sharper close-up on that region might help to determine what is going on.
