Spotted two dimes in the reject tray on the way out of a grocery store, was hoping for silver but they were 1998p and 1999p. Also pulled out a 1981 LMC and..... a pretty rough 1943 LWC. The 2 dimes and LMC had some kind of sticky goop on them.

I haven't found anything amazing like silver or errors or really old coins. Only found a few modern US coins, and some modern foreign finds. Hopefully my luck changes and I find something good. Like Jdot's seated liberty

Several bucks in change in the one at the food supermarket. Oldest coin found I believe was a 1918 Lincoln Wheat cent. I can't helping having a look when ever I'm in a store with a Coinstar in it..

I had recently seen some change in a coinstar but did not take it since I felt with all the cameras watching did not want anyone to say stealing it. Any thoughts on that? Not trying to start anything just stating the way I felt.

Angel, grab them! The coinstar machine tells people over and over to check the reject bin. No way would you be guilty of stealing. Ran into one of their employee's that empties them. He said to also check the top and floor for finds. My mouth was drooling when I saw the steel bin that he carried out, loaded.

I checked a coin counter recently( not a CoinStar, but does the same thing) and found a 1952-D Roosevelt dime! I've also found various common pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, plus the occasional Canadian. It was ctually the first silver dime I ever found in circulation!

I must live in the ghetto. Every coinstar I have ever check hasn't even had a penny in the reject tray. People around here want their coins. Or maybe you guys are getting to the coinstars before I do.

I found a silver Roosevelt dime recently. Wouldn't it be nice to open up one of those coinstars!

I found a handful of coins last week in a Coinstar, but no silver. Mainly US and Canadian, but two are odd. Possibly aluminum, with a lion's head on the obverse, and people holding hands on the reverse. I'm thinking they're from a former Soviet republic, since one of the figures is holding a sickle.
I also came across a guy who kept throwing a silver quarter back in. I asked him if I could buy it, and he agreed!
