I just bought $4.80 (one Kennedy half, the rest was Canadian) worth of "junk silver" I will post some pictures a little later.

Ya, that hologram I've seen before, sort of an interesting flair for the coin. The 1950 50 cent piece is that toning 'cause its awfully dark. Some more of these showed up at the door recently, 2.5 gram is not very well disbursed on some websites, I like the size and the price for a fractional. Some more 1/2 ounce rounds...

Canadian Banknotes - Great score for $100. By my calculations you practically doubled your money. Maybe there are some collectable coins in the lot from Canada.

You are right, Canadian-banknotes. My calculator and my brain is not up to simple math. Still a $27 spiff is something not to sneeze at. Good for you.

Quote: You are right, Canadian-banknotes. My calculator and my brain is not up to simple math. It happens to the best of us, every now and again. Quote: Still a $27 spiff is something not to sneeze at. Good for you. Yeah, I bought the coins off my dad. He said that he wanted to sell them, So I told him exactly what they were worth ($127 or so) but after he put them on ebay and paid the sellers fees he would only get around $110 if they sold for the melt value. So I offered him $125 cash for them all, that way he would not have to ship them or pay any fees. Needless to say, he said I could have them for $100, in the end we were both happy.
