The 99 cent question is now....how much will a sealed set or five sealed sets go for?

Does not look I am going to get mine, but have been tasked with selling a sealed five box set for a friend.

acloco, I would like to know myself. I did manage to secure five sets and have been wondering myself; bust that box open and sell them individually or as a set of five UNOPENED?

How many actually sold theirs to those guys offering a small profit, and now are regretting it?

Earle42, I am "in stock and reserved" and my CC has been charged, so at least you will get that one.

And I very much appreciate this. This has all been a wild and exciting ride in which you have made it possible for me to at least have a great addition to my collection!

Which I also appreciate very much. The family spirit on this forum is amazing to me. I have been involved in other hobbies where it is a dog-eat-dog mindset. How very different CCF is. I am so glad that when I first googled "coin forum" looking for info and a place to join, that it was CCF that came up first.

All of you on CCF are great!

BTW - I also want to re-iterate - I know I am weird, but I am actually having some fun with this whole ordeal with the mint - hence the computer bandit theme in my posts. Yes, I really would like to get my sets - that's obvious. And not getting all of them will upset me a little - but it won't be the end of the world.

Life is far too short to allow things like this to impact too seriously. It is better to find a way to have fun than to worry/fret. If life was fair - I'd have a legit complaint - but as we all know - life is far from being fair. So if they cannot fulfill the order, I really am not out anything that I had before this whole situation and I had a lot of excitement/fun/suspense before and during the whole shebang.

Thanks again for the encouragement folks!

The latest ebay seller that is attempting to post sets is claiming to have the sets in hand and shows a picture to prove it. The only problem is that not only are the sets just starting to ship today (so some might truly get them tomorrow) but the sale is for a box of five sets and the picture is of a UPS box that is way too small to have five sets in it. The box barely looks like it could hold one set and is obviously from some previous order. The seller has set the starting bid at $3000 for five sets and put a 24 hour clock on the sale. I am amazed by the number of ebay sellers who are trying as hard as they can to break the rules to make a fast buck. Why would I ever want to buy from someone who demonstrates such disdain for for fair play?

http://www.pcgs.com/Articles/Detail/7012

PCGS has published an article that corrects the poor information initially given in their coin number listing ans shoeing that they will label the bullion coin as a 2011-(S). The coin number page that earlier had incorrect information has also been updated to reflect reality.

They also set the First Strike cutoff date at November 27th, one month after the sale date and only 19 days after the first shipments. Of course, PCGS honors the date on the packaging for FS labels. This might mean that the last of the waiting list orders that get filled will be the only sets that don't qualify.

I got the Silver Proof Set from the order today. It arrived at my door less than 24 hours after it was sent, for only $4.95 shipping!

Quote:
The neat thing is that you get two overnight shipments for $4.95 because they split the order.

I did the same thing in 2009 with the Lincoln C&C Set. I had LP4 Mint rolls in the cart, and the LP4's arrived a couple of days later.

I can only hope my ASE sets get here in less than 24 hours...
