My order number 38384xxx is flagged as shipped with a tracking number. My second order, 38388xxx still has a status of in stock & reserved. I clicked on the tracking number but no info is available yet.

A buddy of mine finally got his order switched from "In Process" to "Instock & reserved" His credit card was also hit for the charge. His order was placed at 5:56 pm EST. So for all of you guys still waiting to hear something and haven't received the cancelled order email, there is still hope.

Just a heads up..whatever credit card you use for the set, make sure it will go through, and not cause delays, or, a possible cancellation...I switched card numbers, after 1 order arrived, and thought the mint would use the new# for my last order, 1 set...they used the original #, even though there was a 7-day lag in changes..luckily, it flew fine, and the set arrived a few days ago...if you think your card is questionable, call and switch to one that will fly, so you get your set. Another side note...I've scoured my 20 coins, from 5 sets, for any errors...no doubled dies, no proof cracks, no RPM, nada...the only thing perked my interest is the frosting overlay on the reverse proof,(see thread under errors), which, I don't think is much of anything....too "bad" the mint makes these eagles so darn well...a nice extra thumb or something would make my day...maybe next year! I have a bad gut feeling the final mintage #'s might possibly be higher than 100k. I don't know maybe I'm being weird... but the first order# was estimated to be around 38324XXXX and I'm seeing order #'s as high as 38384XXX being shipped. Now I know some earlier order#'s were cancelled for various reasons but is anyone else seeing this?
If 10k orders were cancelled that still leaves 50k orders from that day, and the avg. order was for three sets. See what I'm getting at here? I have a feeling when the mint releases the final #'s its going to be higher than 100k sets.

Justndav1976, Not all of the orders were unnecessarily for a 25th anniversary sets. The mint has several other products that when sold were given a corresponding number. Mintage was, and should still be, 100,000 ASE anniversary sets.

IF this was/is indeed a fact, no-one will EVER know, for sure..I see your thought process and could only agree, I hope some dramatic congressional move does not allow another say, 100,000, because of all the collectors who were shut out of this "historically" sweet set!! .........

Got the "Ship Conf. - Order #38384xxx" email last night.
But when I click on my tracking number, the UPS web site comes up with the message:
Track by Number
>>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later.

For anyone who received 25th Anniversary sets with CRACKED or DAMAGED Coin Capsules(like I did )..The Mint will send you FREE Replacements...I'll save you the hassle of waiting for the sales rep to look up the code# for each top & Bottom(18 minutes on hold!) 1-OZ Silver Eagle Capsule TOP--------#5N4 1-OZ Silver Eagle Capsule BOTTOM-----#5N3 I got the box 2 days after calling, via UPS next day AIR..quite shocked about THAT! Anyway, thank goodness the capsules did their job, as no damage was done to any Eagles! BTW, I had BOUGHT replacements at a coin shop, that fit Eagles..Airtite...fits them fine, BUT WILL NOT slip into the OGP display box, so, don't waste your $$...only these special Mint Capsules from the mint fit properly, as far as I know. My orders 38384xxx and 38388xxx are now both flagged as shipped and when I click on the tracking number I get a message that the packages are waiting for UPS pickup. I also had tracking numbers yesterday say UPS could not locate the order. I was ready to call the mint wondering if somehow the wrong tracking numbers were posted for my orders, but everything seems to be AOK right now. Now I just have to wait for UPS to show up at my doorstep. Looks like I will get delivery on Saturday or Monday.

Quote: For anyone who received 25th Anniversary sets with CRACKED or DAMAGED Coin Capsules(like I did)..The Mint will send you FREE Replacements Good to know, thanks! Although I must note those same capsules have been used for years for the Mint's individually-boxed "collector" (Unc-Proof) ASE's. I've seen used ASE Mint capsules in several local coin shops. In my "5-W" custom Set, those five coins are still in their original Mint capsules, which fit right into the 25th Anniv. Set's five-coin panel "like gloves".

Both my orders arrived before 10:00 am this morning, 3 sets total. Both shipping boxes are getting ready to go off to NGC before the early release period expires.
No signs of any damage to the outer boxes. Both shipping cartons are in great shape.
Darn that I can't open the boxes to see the coins before certification.
