tpg22: if you receive it in hand tomorrow you might as well try for a FS label, as those will have a nice premium when all is said and done.

I ordered on the 2nd day of sales and have a 9/08 ship date as well. Realistically my coin will not be in a FS batch even if it were shipped out within the 30-day limit, but I am not a label chaser anyway and I don't like slabbing modern coins. Elsewhere I suggested a 11/01 (realistic) ship date and that's what I am expecting.

I received an email from the U.S. Mint. My shipping date of 9/8/13 has been bumped up to 9/24/13.

Dag nab it!

I am waiting for my coin from Goldmart (the check was cleared last week), should be here sometime this week (7 day turn around after check cleared).

Sometime it's just faster to order from a dealer than directly from the mint. Sad but true.

Well I couldn't resist and had to open it. The chances of sending it in were slim and once open I'm past the 30 days so no first strike. I have had a few bad coins from the mint so I wanted to see it. This is an amazing coin. I know some have said they don't like it but I put is side by side with the regular proof and it looks great. Some day if this does not take off I will get a proof70 regular and reverse proof to complete the set. Maybe an MS70 as well. For now it is OGP for this one. I will try to take pictures but I'm not sure how well it will work with my beginner set up.

I hesitate uploading these because the quality may not be up to some people standards. I took these quick so others could see what was on the way. Some day I will go back and take better photos.

I included both the Reverse Proof and the Regular proof. As of tomorrow these will be off site so don't come looking for them at my house. The regular proof has a bunch of dust under the plastic. No way I'm going in there to get it though.

TPG I'm with you, the RP looks fantastic. Like the ASE I actually prefer the RP buffalo to the proof after seeing them side by side, thanks for the pics

You are welcome.

I was at a LCS the other day and he said he saw the coin in Chicago and thought it was ugly. I was a little worried since the mint site didn't give a good picture. I think he is wrong and I think others will agree having the buffalo and indian as the proof part looks great. Since the background has that hammered look it just doesn't do much for me in proof.

Im with you, I think its beautiful. I like the idea of proofs, but the moderns the mirror is so deep every little imperfection of dust speck stands out like a sore thumb that drives me craxy. The RPs dont really have that problem.

As long as you get your coin submitted by 9/19 they are FS elible. I ordered my on day two as well only to find my shipping date changed from 9/8 to 9/24 making most coins unavailable for FS. I submitted another one for a friend today.

Yup mine moved to 9-27 ship date as well. Since I ordered late the first week, October might be a more reasonable ship date. For a premium item that their reputation will rest upon the Mint shouldn't hurry striking these.

@tpg22: Very nice coins. Thank you for sharing. Your photography skill is better than mine.... hahaha. It's very hard to take pictures of proof coins because they are shiny and usually cause glares....

I thought that if you have the box unopened with the paperwork from the mint you can submit the coin anytime and still receive the First Strike (as long as it's before the cutoff) ?

Mine have been bumped to 9/27 as well. Someone on another forum said their order placed at 5pm on the first day just shipped. Given that they started shipping almost 3 weeks ago, the fact that they're only through the first 5 hours of orders at this point is pathetic and inexcusable. Maybe they're too busy patting theselves on the back for the 2k they sold at the ANA show? If gold continues to slump and/or if the bulk of the orders are not shipped in time to meet the FS/ER grading deadlines, does that spell mass cancelations? And does it bode well for graded FS coins?

I'm actually ok with waiting for my orders since I have no plans to grade, but this is the 3rd Mint to Demand release from the Mint, and as far as I'm concerned they've failed miserably at all 3 in terms of getting the coins shipped out on a timely basis.
