I was looking at the numbers for sales from the mint and noticed they put the clad set up but the mint web site shows "out of stock" I'm a little confused as to if it is sold out or if the mint repackage some and had a few more for sale.... Kennedy half dollars: Coin Discovery Set - An Introduction to Coin Collecting - 5,020 | (+79) | -33.61% 50th Anniversary 2014 Gold Proof Coin - 71,080 | (+95) | -27.48% 50th Anniversary 2014 4-Coin Silver Set - 201,216 | (+645) | -28.96% 50th Anniversary 2014 Uncirculated Clad Set - 197,629 | (+7)

@Neo13x - what are the percentages listed next to your figures above?
Perhaps there were 7 cancellations and/or returns available for purchase and when those sold, the status went back to "out of stock". Just a guess.

There is no percentage listed and I wondered about the mint selling returned items also but knowing they have a seven day return time limit and none where sold all of January makes me wonder even more. I am surprised to see the sales figures show some where sold recently when I thought it was already sold out. I already have my set so it isn't anything important, just curious is all.

I'm looking to buy a few of these K14 2014 Kennedy Uncirculated 2 Coin Sets. Where can I get the best price?

I'd guess right here on CCF if someone is willing to part with any. Otherwise, ebay. I see one out there now for $15, shipping included. That's only $5 over (what was) retail.

@ acloco
Did you ever get your set back from ANACS?

I found five sets on ebay for $13.50 each delivered. That seems like a pretty fair deal. Given the mintage and price of these sets versus the silver 4 coin set, I think these will appreciate in the future. It will probably be one of those that goes up little by little. Eventually, we'll be asking ourselves why we didn't buy more.

Sounds like you did very well, Bret. At 3.50 over retail, that's a solid choice. In fact, you paid less than anyone who bought one set with the mint's $4.95 shipping charge!

I think that I did pretty good too. I picked up another for $12.38 delivered. I'll use them as trade fodder some years from now.

I figured these wouldn't hold value well. Glad I only kept one.

@tkbslc, it wasn't much of a risk at 10 bucks.
