Giant bunches of fun. Great looking stuff. Even if these are "modern" there is certainly no shame in putting together such beautiful sets.

I have resisted the urge of modern dollars by focusing on silver. I may be convinced to look at the Eisenhower series as there are some 40% coins but my old Whitman album only has openings to 1976, no 77 or 78, odd. I maintain a type set of modern dollars with my silver proof sets but that is it.

Quote: Do other CCF members have trouble saying no to coins they have multiples of? Well, yes but only because the number of coins I need are many, and my budget is few. Once I have the coin or buy that LAST one I need for an album I can't afford to stock up on duplicates. There is just way too many holes in my albums and I am not getting any younger...... I at your collection frequently tho.

Nice acquisitions. Always good to see some more Eisenhower dollars make their way into your collection.

I like the looks of the Presidential dollar book. This is likely a dumb question, but who manufactures that book?

These are all Dansco albums.
These also have the slip covers, which are sold seperate.

You seem to have trouble saying 'no' in general, GR58 (at least to coins & currency). I have that problem too. Is that Danco page with the presidential portraits a GR58 custom job?

Nope, the Presidential dollar Dansco albums come with those information pages. For what it is worth, the ATB albums have information pages as well (no photos though).

Cool...did not know that (clearly). I've never seen a Presidential Dansco until today.

I also have small dollar albums that I've been patiently updating with new coins every year via the sets issued by the U.S. Mint, but I recently purchased a new Capital Plastics holder for Presidential dollars that I plan to put my extra proof coins into. Well, it turns out that I have most of the years in order to fill the new holder, except for 2012. Looking online for the 2012 proofs, I was floored by the prices for these proof sets. Regardless of the final mintage of proof 2012 dollars, certainly more than enough were minted to satisfy the collecting community. Is hype keeping these sets over $50 a pop?

Yes, it is hype. Just wait, ride it out. You do no have to fill it right now.

The only trouble have in saying yes to Ikes is the black hole that perpetuates itself in my wallet. And when something disobeys the laws of physics and emerges from that black hole, there are other coin set holes I need to fill to finish off some sets - and unfortunately most are expensive. As to the Presidential dollars - it the dates and MM were on the OBV, then they may have drawn my interest. But the not-to-well-designed portraits etc. just make them unappealing to me. Sacs... love the proofs from the last 4 years or so with the exception of last year's design. It does not fit well with the general artistic genre as the previous ones. But I have been getting one for each year.

Nice additions! Have you considered reinforcing your floor joists? The weight of your hoard must be considerable.

Being someone who is sitting on a lot of coins he has multiples of waiting to flip them so he can invest his money in better coins, in which, he probably also has multiple of I don't think I have any trouble saying "no" to any coins I have multiples of, as long as the price is right ;)
