Why such a difference in photos, the second set makes it look like a foil wrapped chocolate? Which set is more true to life? John1

when comparing the first set to the second it looks like a different coin especially the reverse where the first photo of the reverse looks like quite a bit of wear we are not seeing in the second. I'm assuming its due to lighting or something else so I'm using the second set of photos.
the coin has quite a bit of chatter. there appears to be some rub on fields and wear in the hair around the ear and highest points of the eagle.
AU55 maybe 58 but I think the chatter is too heavy to make 58

I've never seen a "pretty" Charlotte coin. They all suffered from poor QC. I'm tempted to say 55, but the stars suggest MS.

Are those scratches at K4 on the obverse and reverse (second set of photos)? I say AU53.

I'll say AU-58 but would not be surprised if it was low MS.

I have one of these in NGC AU-58. The OP's coin looks to have a bit more wear than mine. Weakness on eagle's neck and on the hair above Liberty's ear are normal for this issue. I'd guess AU-55.

Here is the answer. This coin sold twice at HA since 2012, both times at higher hammer prices that what I paid at recent auction.
