No upside in listing names. ebay is simply making a pragmatic choice when it bows to a prominent seller rather than the occasional disgruntled buyer.

I'm not taking the sellers side on this & hate it when people don't ship immediately. Having said that, the seller can specify how long between the order is placed & when they will ship. As long as they meet their self-imposed deadline they can have neutral or negative feedback removed under the rules. Not something I agree with but it is a possibility.

if the item is delivered before ebay's estimated date of delivery, then any bad feedback can be removed, regardless of how quickly it hits the post office..
All a seller has to do, is message ebay, that item was received within their window of time, and the neutral, negative feedback will get removed..

Only ebay can revise negative and neutral feed back. There is a spot on the seller's feedback page that states the amount of feed backs revised.

In my case I was buying rolls of uncirculated Peace dollars and they were arriving up to 2 weeks late after the ebay delivery date. I messaged the seller three times over several months and never received a response. A forth time I told the seller that despite my otherwise satisfaction I would have to leave a neutral response regarding the late shipments and lack of communication. The only response was to get blocked by seller.

Not True..

A seller can send a feedback revision request to a buyer who left them a negative feedback.

Only ebay can remove negative or neutral feedback..and when they do there is no record of it, it is just gone..

They print a label and add tracking and as far as ebay is concerned, it is shipped. Not fair! Happens because the seller will get a bunch of sales ready and go to the PO when it is worth the trip I guess.
I've had more than half the dozen or so negative feedbacks I left accurately and justifiably left for sellers removed. ebay generally removes them if the seller requests it. I imagine they just get on the phone with ebay and complain with some story and the negative gets removed. It's lousy.
Who is the seller? I will avoid them in the future.

I'm a little concerned about naming them outright in a public forum. My intention was simply to ask about ebay practices. The seller has amazing coins for sale and if a two week wait, no communication, and no tolerance for slightest criticism doesn't concern you after the premium prices then I wouldn't want to disuade anyone. However, they are from Denver, Colorado and currently have a large number of mirror-like "GEM BU MS MORGAN & PEACE SILVER DOLLARS * FRESH FROM ORIGINAL ROLL *" as well as many other GEM BU MS silver US coins.

Sounds like the perfect reason to list their name. After reading about the shady practices and the way this seller responded to your situation, it comes as no surprise that once again, Canyon City Coins (obviously) has come up on the forum in a negative way. Unfortunate this happened to you as a buyer, but honestly, your better off.

You got it. And like I said, it has as much to say about ebay practices as it does sellers.

They have ebay "protection" from complaints, too.

Big sellers have all the ebay protection. Anyone under 1000 feedback is treated like scum.

I just noticed I have 5 feedback revision requests available per 1,000 feedback received in the last 12 months....This is huge for high volume sellers..
