First couple posts had me worried my grading skills were off as I thought this was AU. Glad some others think it is as well.

I think AU is a little too generous with the wear on the cheeks & ear. Looks like solid wheat lines on reverse. Solid EF

I'd say a very definite EF40. And I also agree that you've got some great pics out here - what is your secret?

Thank you everyone for the opinions and compliments! Quote: are you a professional photographer? Far from it actually, LOL! My cousin is a professional and he was kind enough to teach me some basic principals as well as guide me on what camera equipment to purchase to suit my needs. From there, just a lot of practice, trial and error, and researching on the internet. I've had a lot of fun with it. I never thought photography would interest me, but the more I get into it, the more I like it and want to learn more. Quote: what is your secret? Well, I'm not trying to evade your question, so please forgive me, but there are other forum members here in the Coin Photography forum that can do a MUCH better job at explaining how to do this. There is a ton of great information in there on how to take good pictures of coins. I did (and still do) a lot of reading in there. I can tell you that the camera I use is a Canon EOS 30D with a Tamron SP AF 90mm F/2.8 macro lens (don't ask me what all that junk means, it's what's written on the box ).

I would go with EF45 Definite wear on the right wheat ear, as well as the bow tie and jaw.

Very nice pictures. The lighting is perfect. I'm still struggling a bit with mine. Copper can be tough getting true color. Great job!

Your photos are indeed very nice. It is difficult to get the color and contrast just right on a circulated Lincoln Cent, and you have done it well...take it from someone who does this professionally. Your coin is EF45, and pretty solid for the grade. There's no way this is an AU coin, the wear is too flattened. The reason it gets 45 and not 40 is because the coin is problem free, very nice, and looks "shiny" and well kept.

pretty solid XF+ for sure... ^^^^ wait! you won't go late die state AU on this one? it really seems to missing the "hits" that I would expect to see on a XF coin plus the wheat seeds or tips aren't showing any flattening that should be proportionate with the obverse. since that isn't there and then there is light strike of "TRUST", I think it could go AU yes no? Really need to see in hand
I can't wait till some of these early circulated Lincolns gain enough value to make it worth while for grade certification. no offense to you coppercoins...you are one of the most experienced I'm just saying..
oh wait............... duh........... I have a PCGS XF35 brb
