I found an 1858 Flying Eagle cent in a Lincoln Cent roll about 2 years ago. I've haven't done much coin roll hunting since then, just now returning after about a 2 year absence!

Best,

Good bump, Drew.

1875 IHC
1909 VDB LWC
1883 V nickel
1913 Type I Buffalo nickel
1938 Jefferson nickel (only missing the 1939D, most interesting: found 2 1950D)
1942 Mercury dime (found in a roll of cents)
1946 Roosevelt dime
1934 Washington quarter

The Mercury dime was probably my most unexpected find.

Cent: 1910 Lincoln Cent
Nickel: 1935 Buffalo nickel
Dime: 1965 Roosevelt dime
Quarter: 1965 Washington quarter
Half: 1964 Kennedy half dollar
Dollar: 1979 Susan B. Anthony dollar

Pretty tame results, but add in a few proofs and silver and I'm a happy hunter.

I only search pennies and occasionally nickels now, but I found a 1893 IHC not too far back, and quite recently I found a 1912 D penny in G-4 condition. My oldest nickel find would be a very worn nickel from 1924.

Awesome finds everybody! :D

Might as well give this another bump, seeing as how it's been dead for 1 1/2 years. If you didn't notice, I haven't gone through many dime, quarter, or half dollar rolls. My oldest are as follows:
Cent: 1910
Nickel: 1914
Dime: 1965
Quarter: 1965
Half: 1971

Not a bad bump though. At least we are adding value.

I found a 1982 Washington commem half in a Kennedy roll a few years back.

By the way, what's the best technique for getting mixed coin rolls rather than newer rolls? I'm sure a relationship with bank tellers is helpful, but other suggestions?

The best technique for getting mixed coin rolls rather than newer rolls is probably to switch banks for picking up coins. I have three different banks that I get change from. One bank uses a carrier that normally has new solid date rolls. One bank most of the time has boxes of circulated coins brought in by the carrier. The other I just get the bags from the coin counting machines. No telling what you will get in them. It is usually a decent mix. Still Lookin
