Quote: You have inspired me. I have been plotting a few more miscellaneous albums. Glad I could help Jbuck! I get a lot of good ideas from what others post here on CCF. No reason to not start more albums. Hopefully we will have many years to fill them.

Quote: On the Dansco albums, I have never owned one. Lately I have been kicking the can around just mulling it over if I should try them. I just have some concerns about them. Are coins more prone to toning in them? No more than the 2x2 holders. If you have no problem with those, then store your Dansco the same way. I would be surprised if the Dansco do anything different. My oldest albums are approaching 31 years of age without complaint. Quote: Not a good picture .. I need to work on taking pics of proofs. But this is the main reason I bought the IS album, I wanted to see what this page looks like. Looks great! Quote: No reason to not start more albums. Hopefully we will have many years to fill them. Agreed.

Quote: No reason to not start more albums. Hopefully we will have many years to fill them. To expand on that. I used to think why start a album, if it has coins in it, that I will never be able to afford to purchase. Now I think, why take away the fun of collecting a series I like, because of a few high priced coins. For example, doing a complete set of Morgan's. I never thought it possible I could do one. There are many higher priced coins. Now I am down to needing only six coins. Of course I will never be able to afford a 1895. But hey ... I can dream about hitting the Lotto .. My suggestion ... go ahead and start new albums .. never know what you can accomplish, even if it takes years.

I was looking at Dansco 7143 for the Statehood Quarters. Is there room in these for additional pages for the territory quarters? And where could I get the territory quarter page(s)?

A great thread with amazing photos! I think I'd go broke working in a coin shop, too many things I'd want. However the opportunity for learning would be fantastic!
I know you also collect Canadian coins, have you found any albums that compare to the Dansco? How do you store your Canadian coins? I can see your collection takes up a lot of room. My problem isn't as bad, however the Nclt coins demand lots of space. Especially when they come in a case. Again thanks for the great posts.

Wow that's a lot of albums! Isn't wizard coin great? All their stuff seems cheaper than anywhere else but they never have free shipping so I always end up ordering like $70 of stuff which feels crazy since it's all stuff FOR coins! Anyway, I'm really pleased with the "coin collector" albums they sell there. I've been buying a bunch, and they seem pretty nice for $5.00 each! At that price I can't bring myself to buying all danscos. For the albums they don't have, I've been using saflips and a binder. I know the 2x2 flips are crazy cheaper than the saflips but I don't feel like dealing with stapling and all that stuff. I learned pretty quickly how annoying boxes of coins can be, and I would never be able to figure out what I had quickly. And I definitely can second that spread sheet idea, it's so easy to pop it up on your phone when you are out shopping and see exactly what you have and in what grade.

I have tried doing a couple custom albums for Canada Cents and nickels, but it is had for me to get away from pre labeled pages. As for space, that is a big problem for me. Right now part of my solution is, for the coin that come in box/cases, I store the box separate. I put the coin still in the capsule, into 2X2 boxes. That way I don't have hundreds of boxes taking up safe space.

Quote: Been working on my 7099 for years My bet would be ... my 7099 will never be the quality your is .. and will be. But I am enjoying putting what coins I do have into the 7099. So far it is fun learning the different varieties. For me the best way to learn about a coin series .. is to collect that series.
