Nice collection! Looks like you are ready to start a store. I'm not sure if my wife would prefer I have a gun safe full of guns or coins.

I like the dansco for every set idea bc it gives you the "buying fun" when you are going through coins you've owned for a while. Also, let's you keep an eye on what you need, so not as chaotic... I've started to go that route as well, but you could probably fit 10 of my coin safe in yours.

I well know how you feel. I too have an enormous amount of stuff. Well over 100 Albums. Lots of rolls, loose coins, boxes of 2x2's with coins in them of course. However a long time ago I got an idea. Living in a house I made a false sort of room in the basement. Entire area is full of shelves for mostly just coins, guns, knives, etc. Well hidden door so not even apparent anything is there. Now no problem with space.

GR58, as usual, your pictures and commentary are captivating. Good luck filling all of those bad boys.

I agree with the Capital Plastics holder... very nice presentation.

Looking forward to updates. :)

Thanks again all ..

I know there are many on here that have better collections
than I do.

I look at mine as a mess of coins, I am just trying to
organize.

JustCarl ... that sounds like a good idea.
We hope to be moving soon, I hope in my next house
I can set a room up like that.

On the Dansco albums, I have never owned one. Lately I have been kicking the can around just mulling it over if I should try them. I just have some concerns about them. Are coins more prone to toning in them? I currently use the 2x2 flips and staple them. And I would be worried about damaging the coins pressing them into the slots. I thought about doing the Statehood Quarters. And the ones I had had a yellow tone I found undesirable.

In the near future I hope to do a post on
Dansco vs Intercept shield (IS) Type albums.

If I can get some good pictures.

My first pass though my extras I filled 70 of 88 holes
in the new IS album. I was hoping to do better, I still
have not found where I put my extra Seated dimes.

Not a good picture .. I need to work on taking pics of proofs.
But this is the main reason I bought the IS album,
I wanted to see what this page looks like.

I would like to read that post. I have debated a long time about buying an IS album but not sure how well they are made and how well they protect the coins. It would be nice to see them in hand but the opportunity hasn't presented itself.

As for your collection

The past few years have been a lot of fun.

Not sure if everyone feels the same, but I always thought
working in a coin shop would be a very interesting/fun
job to have.

For the past three or four years that is what I have been
doing. It has given me the opportunity to see a lot of nice
coins, and to add a lot to my collection.

I have to say, I am not a wealthy person. I am just lucky
to be able to pick some coins every week.

I think my system for which coins to purchase is getting
better. But seeing different coins come in every day, can
make it hard to stay focus.
It has been a great learning process, working at coin
shops and spending a lot of time on CCF.
