Excellent finds, Rackster. The multiple Proofs and Buffaloes make for an extra special victory.

Wow! Those are some amazing finds.

I've noticed that most dateless nickels tend to be from the teens or early twenties, while the coins with dates are usually from later in the series. I assume that this is because people stopped spending buffs after Jeffs were introduced, so the early ones got more time in circulation. What do you guys think about it?

I think your theory is good. For my Pickled Nickel collection, I have 14 in the Teens, 7 in the Twenties, and none from the Thirties. I've also given away around 20 pickled nickel duplicates I've found, and another 3 to give away from this latest box. None of the duplicates I gave away are from the Twenties.

I've only pickled three- a 16-D, 19-D and 21 (yes, I know I could have identified it by the ribbon), plus the non-pickled dateless 1913 T1. That brings it to 3 teens and one twenties.

I think I can finally get to the bank tomorrow. I would have gone over a week ago, but haven't had the time. I'll probably go for 3 nickel boxes, and maybe a couple of cent boxes as well.

I can hardly believe my eyes right now. I went to the bank today and asked for the coins, but they only had one box of nickels and said all their cent boxes were brand new. I took the nickels, and when I got home I opened it up. This is what I saw (sorry for the low-quality cell phone pics).

Middle row, fourth from the left.
