Classic "slider" AU-58, with sharp detail, no real wear, and light rub on Liberty's cheek and jaw. Luster in the fields has been diminished by friction from very brief circulation.
This coin has much of the eye appeal of an MS-63 but should cost about half as much IMO.

AU 58 - Could go to MS61, but appears to be some circulation rub.

It would be interesting to see what PCGS or NGC would say about this one. As Slider23 posted, it could go either way.

I see no signs of circulation, but not great eye appeal. MS-61 but might squeak out a 62.

This one's on the border between 61 and 62. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say 62.

MS-62 for me, but there are probably AU-58 coins with better eye appeal

Quote: ...light rub on Liberty's cheek and jaw. I strongly agree w/ the 58 and the accompanying darkening of the patina in these areas supports this fact which prohibits this coin from entering MS land. However, because of innate photographic limitations the only hesitation with my assertion would vanish if the op states that the darkening remains constant no matter what angle one physically views the coin w/o a camera etc.

I went back and looked at the coin again. I had thought this was a low MS, but there does appear to be a slight luster break in the lower cheek. So those of you who thought this was a slider might be right. Tough call, even with the coin in hand... Thanks for your opinions!
