So I got this Seated Liberty dime on eBay, I paid a lot for it but seems like the toning is natural because of how it is on the devices. What do you guys think? (I know I paid a LOT but if it is what it looks like, it's worth it

My standard comment:
For that much money I want it slabbed.
Describe it as if there were no picture.

That certainly has eye appeal! as long as it looks like that in hand, worth it in my opinion. looks like the seller has many happy customers.
post a pic when you have it in hand.

You do not need to capitalize lot, that sucker is gorgeous! The toning may be artificial, but it is still a very attractive specimen and I would love to have it in my collection.

Good job!

Really nice looking toned coin, I bought my last toned coin that I have my suspicion it was a AT. The only reason I bought it is because it was a really nice MS RPM, so that offset it. I can't tell whether the seller coin you bought is natural or artificial without examining on hand. I hope seller offer a return policy, and are you going to get it grade?

I may be wrong but I do not believe heat tones in a target pattern and I don't think it follows the devices like that

I am going to get it graded, however I doubt it'll be back in time for the return policy to matter if it was AT...

The seller at one time was one of the top toned coin sellers on eBay as he received a lot of high end toned coins to sell on consignment. He ran into financial troubles and he has not paid many of the people who supplied the coins on consignment. Based on the above I would not buy a raw coin from the seller as the coin may not be as described.

The reverse looks like album toning, but the obverse looks a little strange for album toning.

I've read where some guys will take a coil and wrap the wire around the rim and use heat that way. That's why they get that target look.

Four hundred dollars? I don't know, but, if you like it, that is what counts.

I would have gotten a proof from that year for that price. The mintage is a lot lower.
