Quote: Allow me to resurrect this thread with an enormous (69.8 mm in diameter, and weighing about 180 grams) bronze medal of Richard Nixon, made by the Medallic Art Company of New York. The portrait is rendered in very high relief. Very nice!

Here's another large (45.4 mm in diameter) bronze medal, again with the portrait struck in quite high relief.

Nice US Grant medal! One of several produced by the US Mint. Quote: No maker's mark on this one, though. The medal is US Mint List Medal #633. It was originally struck in 1872; the example shown appears (by its color) to be a 20th century re-strike.

Really liking The President Washington medal. Also got me curious as to how many presidents have served without pay so I looked it up: President George Washington President Herbert Hoover President John F. Kennedy President Donal Trump
That's about 1 for every ten elected.

I don't know if there's a unspoken forum etiquette for continuing to post to threads started by a member who's since passed, but since the topic's not been locked, it seems the right place to show this, and in doing so hopefully honor his memory - Very nice die work, 33.6 mm in diameter.

Amazing how sad I can feel seeing this revived. But am also very thankful b/c it brings back some great memories. Toot and had a lot in common and emailed back and forth daily for quite some time. If it were not for CCF, we would have never met! Thanks for the new addition and for reviving this Lucky . Toot...you were a great friend and greatly missed!
