I am considering doing a trade for this coin. Your thoughts may, or may not help my decision. Tell me what you think for a grade, eye appeal etc. And are these hard to find with this look?

I would think it grade MS-63, luster and strike is good.

Ms-63 maybe 64. They are common in MS so don't pay a lot more than gold spot.

Super strike and great luster. The couple deep bag marks on the obverse probably keep it from a 65, but I'd say MS-64+ with great eye appeal.

Yes, the fields are almost immaculate. If it wasn't for that deep mark on the shoulder, I'd have said MS-66.

Head and shoulders above your typical MS Liberty Eagle. Seems a lock for 64 and 65 seems possible based on the pristine fields.
True, it's a common date but it is uncommonly attractive. If you want an excellent type example this one would be a winner.

Looks like a strong MS64, shot 65 in those images. No, this date is easy to find in mid-level MS grades with high eye appeal - you just have to pay for quality.

For reference here's a PCGS MS64+ available at a $1,575 asking price. The coin in your images looks every bit as good. https://ncwcoin.com/product/1901-10...lus-64-PCGS/

I think 65 would not really surprise me.

MS(64), but a strong one! This looks better than my 1898 Eagle in MS(64)--but they were more conservative back then, or at least I'm told...
