Hello and firstly, thanks in advance for any help. I have done some research and cannot seem to find a value for this coin as it isn't in the usual packaging 1976 GEM PROOf condition, please see the images attached. Can anyone offer advise as I've seen a variety of values for this coin? This coin is in perfect very shiny condition, the marks in the images are on the plastic covering

That looks like aftermarket packaging as half dollar proofs were not sold individually by the mint. As the same coin was used in 1975 and 1976 proof sets, the mintage total was around 7 million which for a U.S. proof coin is not rare and is worth a few dollars.

Usually it is not a good sign that the selling says that their product is destined to be quite valuable. If they believed that they would not have sold it until it did become valuable.

A\There's a big difference in price of Gem Clad proof or Silver Proof and in this case Gem proof Kennedy. price can also vary according to the grade and mintmark, so there are a few factors to determine the value,a clad proof not in a high grade could fetch anywhere from $6 to $7.50 and it will become more valuable perhaps 100 years from now. as mentioned it is best that you post a pic from the coin and the packaging. to the Forum.

Not to be discouraging here, but you can buy an entire 1976 US Mint Proof Set on eBay, $12.95 with free shipping. That is all six coins, Eisenhower dollar, Kennedy half, Quarter, Dime, Nickel and Penny in what is likely a similar grade as your Half. So the likely value of,your coins is probably a few bucks. They are pretty common but it is still a nice coin and worth keeping in my opinion.
