I'm coming up on my 3000th post, and I'll be holding another contest once I hit that number. It will be much simpler than my 2000th post contest last year. The prize for the contest is shown below--a pile of foreign coins from multiple countries. You will need a minimum of 50 posts to participate, and I would also ask that you have an interest in acquiring non-US coins since that will be the prize. I'll post the rules of the contest as soon as I hit 3000.  |

Congratulations on the almost 3000 posts. I find the search for the origin and history of world coins much more interesting than collecting North American coinage.Hope there is no shipping restrictions to be a winner.
Edited--Finger stutter added an extra 0. Must have been the excited anticipation of a chance to win world coins.

I won't be participating in this contest however, as I don't have much of an interest in foreign currency (rather ironic as I've been to over 30 different countries).
But alas, congrats to you once again!

Time to start the contest! As I said, this will be simple. The goal is to guess the exact number of coins in the prize pile I posted yesterday. The first one who guesses the number correctly wins the pile of coins. One guess per member per day, the contest continues until we get a winner. The only hint: there are no loose coins in the pile.
